| Outline of Research at the Start |
本研究は、ドイツにおける移民の社会統合をめぐる問題を、移民の子どもの学校適応の「難しさ」に着目しながら論じるものである。2000年代に入り、ドイツでは教育制度の整備を進め、移民背景をもつ子どもに努力を求めることでの統合が目指されてきた。
排外主義的な流れが強まる当該社会では、統合はますます重要な「移民の」問題として位置づいているが、本研究は移民側のいわば主体的努力を求める・促す態度への批判的再考が刷新され続けるべきだという問題意識に立ち、学校での成績不振や不適応の問題を抱える移民の子どもをめぐる問題を個人に起因する問題としてではなく、受け入れ社会の問題として論じるものである。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This research discusses the social integration of immigrants in Germany from an educational perspective. Specifically, focused on all-day schools, which expand the role of schools from half-day schools, where the role of schools has been limited to teaching.
Visited local all-day schools and interviewed with local administrators revealed a new process within school, what had previously been handled outside the school as individual and personal“ problems ”. It was shown that the connection and collaboration between education, welfare, and care. These phenomena will change dramatically German schools.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究は、ドイツにおける移民の子どもと学力格差の問題に問題関心をもち、教育の視点から社会統合の問題を論じるという課題に取り組んできた。新型コロナウィルス感染症の影響で、ドイツは休校期間が長期化し、移民の子どもの留年率や中退率の高さが顕著になっており、ケアの視点や福祉との連携が新たな課題として位置づいた点を明らかにした。
加えて、2022年2月以降ウクライナ難民を100万人以上受け入れているドイツでは、難民の子どもの教育保障とドイツ社会への統合が、社会的課題となっている。現地調査を行うなかで、教育と福祉・ケアと分野を超えての連携を、学校の中から重視し、取組を行うという大きな変化を確認できた。
