Outline of Research at the Start

団塊世代教員の大量退職の影響から,授業研究を通して行われてきた「ベテランから若手への経験知の伝達」が今後ますます困難になる。先輩教員というメンターが不足する状況で,若手教員は使える道具はなんでも使い,自分たちで専門性を高めていかなければならない。では使える道具とは何か。実はそのような情報はこれまで体系的に整理されてこなかった。本研究では,現在の日本における「教師に利用可能な道具=リソース」(教科書や教育雑誌など)を調査し,その性格を特定する。なお,その際には,今日の数学教育動向(統計教育の強調)や申請者のこれまでの研究(確率学習の困難性)を踏まえて,特に確率授業に関わるリソースに焦点をあてる。

Outline of Final Research Achievements

This project aims to reveal the properties of resources for designing and reflecting upon the teaching of lower secondary school probability within lesson study in Japan. Here is the main finding: there is the lack of a probability model in the resources which can connect probability with statistics. In addition, a teaching material for compensating this lack has been created, through the teaching experiment in the context of teacher education.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本研究の成果の主な学術的意義は,日本の数学教師コミュニティにおいて共有されている確率知識の偏りを明らかにした点にあり,それは間接的に,日本の確率カリキュラムにおける知識の偏りも示唆している。これより,本研究の成果は,確率カリキュラムや教師教育の改善のため1つの指針になりうる,という社会的意義ももっている。さらに,本研究ではそうした偏りを解消するための教材開発にも取り組んでおり,この開発研究は,確率・統計教育に対する具体的な提案というより直接的な社会的意義をもつ。
