Outline of Research at the Start

We expect to demonstrate whether moderate exercise training in combination with GLP-1 agonist treatment improves coronary function in part through amelioration of endothelial dysfunction and improved blood flow distribution in the accelerated atherosclerosis mouse model. In parallel molecular studies we expect to show whether exercise training or in combination with GLP-1 agonist treatment improves the hyperglycemic and hyperlipidemic profile in mice with atherosclerosis.
