Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は顎顔面領域の機能と形態に影響を及ぼす環境複合要因の解明と、それらが与える変化率を考慮したうえで、遺伝学的根拠に基づいた精度の高い表現型（奇形）の評価を行うことにより、疾患に起因する表現型の定義をより明確化する。これは、本態不明の疾患関連遺伝子の臨床的・生物学的意義を評価することにつながり、成長期のような機能的変化および形態変化の顕著な時期に「個別化医療」を実現していく基盤となり得る。
