Outline of Research at the Start |
|
Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Significant associations with periodontal indices were found in patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes, placing type 1 diabetics in between non-diabetics and type 2 diabetics. In addition, significant differences in periodontal disease indices, particularly in the rates of deep periodontal pockets, deep periodontal pocket sites, and upset tooth rates, were suggested in patients with diabetes mellitus.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
