| Outline of Research at the Start |
ウェイトバイアスは、肥満対策が十分な効果を挙げられていない要因の1つとして注目されている。そこで本研究では、保健指導を行う医療従事者のウェイトバイアスと肥満者自身のウェイトバイアスの2つの尺度の日本語版を作成し、それを用いて保健師を対象としたウェイトバイアス予防プログラムによる介入研究を実施する。これらを通じて、ウェイトバイアスに関する研究基盤を作るとともに、保健指導の場面で指導者が肥満者に与えるウェイトバイアスを予防した効果的な減量指導法を開発する。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We developed a Japanese version of the Weight Bias Internalization Scale and examined its reliability and validity. We also confirmed a weak negative correlation between weight bias Internalization and behavioral activation.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究によって、本邦における肥満者の内在化ウェイトバイアスの測定が可能となった。このことから、減量指導などにおける侵襲性評価の一助となることが期待される。また行動活性化との関連が認められたことから、健康増進事業などにおいてウェイトバイアスに配慮する必要性が示唆された。
