Outline of Research at the Start |

Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The aim of this research is to elucidate the factors of falls by examining information about near-miss incidents and falls, thus aiding the creation of a new fall risk assessment. Our methodology involved assessing the incidence of everyday near-miss falls, their occurrence over the previous month and associated causes, as well as yearly falls and their causes. Our findings reveal a correlation between regularity of near-miss incidents and increased fall rate. Additionally, the causes underlying near-miss falls resemble those of actual falls, indicating a strong correlation. These insights suggest that in clinical environments, considering the occurrence of near-miss falls and their causes, alongside risk management strategies and preventive interventions, could reduce the incidence of falls.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
