Outline of Research at the Start

激しい身体運動を行うと,筋肉痛を伴う筋損傷が生じる.この運動誘発性筋損傷は傷害リスクを増大させるため,その影響因子の特定や効果的な軽減方法が求められている.そこで本研究は,運動誘発性筋損傷の程度に筋の硬さが及ぼす影響,および,運動誘発性筋損傷を軽減する効果的なストレッチング方法を考案することを目的とする.本研究により運動誘発性筋損傷の軽減方法が確立されれば,傷害リスク低減,運動継続の一助となると考えられ,健康寿命の増加,競技力向上に繋がることが期待される.

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究は,筋の硬さの筋間差および個人差が運動誘発性筋損傷の程度に及ぼす影響を明らかにしようとするものである.また,運動誘発性筋損傷が生じやすい筋の硬さを効果的に低下させるストレッチングを考案し,運動誘発性筋損傷に対する軽減効果を明らかにすることも目的とする.本研究により運動誘発性筋損傷の軽減方法が確立されれば,傷害リスク低減,運動継続の一助となると考えられ,ひいては健康寿命の増加,競技力向上に繋がることが期待される.
研究対象者は,若年男性とした.大腿後面の筋群であるハムストリングに対する筋損傷課題として,伸張性膝関節屈曲筋力発揮を全力で100回行わせた.筋損傷課題の前後および1~4日後にわたり,筋力や大腿の周径囲,股関節屈曲可動域,筋肉痛,そして,ハムストリング各筋の硬さを測定した.
2019年度に取得した10名分のデータに加え,2020年度はさらに6名分のデータを取得した.それらの解析の結果,運動課題後に,筋力の低下や周径囲の増加,関節可動域の低下,筋肉痛の発生が認められた.これらは,運動誘発性筋損傷の典型的な症状であり,本研究の運動課題により筋損傷が誘発されたことが確認された.また,筋損傷に伴う筋硬度の増加は,半腱様筋において認められたものの,大腿二頭筋および半膜様筋には認められなかった.すなわち,膝関節屈曲運動におけるハムストリングの筋損傷には筋間差があり,半腱様筋の損傷が顕著であることが示唆された.
今後,さらに実験参加者を増やし,筋の硬さと筋損傷の関係およびストレッチングによる軽減効果について検討していく.

COVID-19の感染拡大に伴い,実験の実施が困難であったため.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

未だCOVID-19が猛威を振るっており,人を対象とする本研究の実施は容易ではない.しかし,実験参加者に対するPCR検査の実施,実験中のマスクおよびフェイスガードの着用,手指や機器の消毒を励行することで,感染のリスクを減らし,研究実施に努める.
2019および2020年度の研究において,実験プロトコルは確立されているため,感染対策に努めた上で,実験データをさらに取得していく.そして,筋の硬さの筋間差および個人差が運動誘発性筋損傷の程度に及ぼす影響,および,運動誘発性筋損傷に対する軽減策としてのストレッチングの有用性を明らかにする.
