Outline of Research at the Start |
A randomized controlled trial will be conducted in Japan and Tunisia to evaluate the effect of long term consumption of olive leaf tea on hematological parameters in apparently healthy young adults and elderly with mild or borderline anemia.
|
Outline of Final Research Achievements |
After 12 weeks of intervention, a low dose of olive leaf extract significantly increased hemoglobin levels in both male and female participants compared to their levels before the intervention. No adverse effects were observed after 12 weeks of intervention study.
|
Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
私たちの研究は、植物エキスであるオリーブの葉エキスがヘモグロビンレベルを増加させる可能性があり、それによって血液学的健康を向上させる機能性食品としての潜在性をさらに支持していることを示唆しています。
