Outline of Research at the Start

Outline of Final Research Achievements

Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 28 men with HIV/AIDS who were outpatients and did not have hyperlipidemia to identify management strategies for lipid abnormalities among men with HIV/AIDS. The results showed the following strategies: “adjust the balance of one of three meals per day so that you can consume a healthy diet,” “Take half with partner or friend” to control the intake of sweets, “train your core in free time,” “it is possible to quit smoking with support from colleagues.” It was also clarified that families, partners, and friends may assist an individual in consuming a vegetable-centered meal. These findings suggest the need to develop nursing support programs that involve setting goals and devising preventative actions while including individuals who are closely connected to male individuals with HIV infection.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
