| Outline of Research at the Start |
本研究は、常識にとらわれることなく、不断に穿った見方をする人類学の「クイア」な研究姿勢を通じて、ゲイ・レズビアン、そしてクイア・スタディーズを人類学的に「クイア」に化していく道筋を具体的に提示し、「クイア人類学」の新たな方向づけを実証することを目的とする。調査対象地域として、フランス第二の都市リヨンを選定し、ホモフォビアを婉曲的に正当化させようとするカトリック教会の動きや、カトリックの司祭として同性愛の苦悩の問題にコミットする人々の動き、さらには、ムスリム移民としてフランスでの同性愛の問題に向き合う人々の動きの複数性に着目する。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study aims to examine same-sex marriage in France from a different point of view. I researched not just same-sex marriage itself but conducted fieldwork among those who rather disagree with same-sex marriage, particularly those who follow Roman Catholic practices. It is an experiment to ‘anthropologizine’ [Boellstorff 2007] queer studies which just stays with Lesbian and Gay Studies.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
フランスの同性婚法（2013)、その前進にあるPACS,連帯市民協約（1999)に関する先行研究を掛け合わせて考察した結果、同性の結びつきを一種のインセストタブーだとする見方が明らかになった。インセストタブーとは同族の結びつきを禁止するルールであり、人類文化に共通するルールである。よって、インセストの部類に含まれる同性婚は人類文化を破壊することにつながるという主張である。その一方で、異性同士の結婚の必然性についても、宗教者と共に福音書を読む作業を通じて考察を行った。そこから見えてきたものは、インセストを定める境界線は曖昧であり、かつ恣意的であること、また、性の結びつきをむしろ否定する点である。
