Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は、従来、詩や劇の運動として知られるフランス象徴派を、小説と同時代の文芸誌との関係から総合的に再検討するものである。19世紀末パリの文学場が、象徴派によってどのように革新されたのかを探るため、当時の作家たちのネットワークを支えた文芸誌に注目し、とりわけ編集部の役割を明らかにする。新たに分析の対象に、雑誌の編集長、編集主幹や出版人が作家たちと交わした書簡やメモ等の未公刊資料を加えることで、研究の実証性を高め、基課題（基盤Ｃ「文芸誌を介して見る象徴派の小説研究――ジャンル論と集団性の観点から」）を、海外の専門研究者チームとの国際共同研究として発展させたものである。
