Outline of Research at the Start

培養基材の弾性率やナノ~ミクロンスケールの表面構造が幹細胞の接着・増殖・分化に与える影響とその機序を分子レベルで解明することは再生医療・組織工学の分野において非常に重要な課題である。本国際共同研究では、Bordeaux UniversityのOdaらが持つラセン状シリカナノ構造体上での細胞培養技術を基研究に取り入れることで、ラセン状シリカナノ構造体上で培養した幹細胞の分子動態をIn Situ解析することを目的とする。基研究でのミクロンスケール構造上の知見と、本国際共同研究のナノスケール微細構造上の知見を合わせることで、幹細胞分化に影響を与える作用機序を統合的に解明する。

Outline of Final Research Achievements

During my visit to Professor Reiko Oda's laboratory at Bordeaux University, we discussed and agreed to collaborate on the development of novel optically active luminescent materials by combining honeycomb scaffolds with chiral nanomaterials.Additionally, we investigated gold nanoparticle composite microparticles with enhanced Raman scattering capabilities due to electric field enhancement. Using vector beam spectroscopy, we demonstrated that these microparticles function as metamaterials with high optical density due to plasmon resonance absorption.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

自己組織化により作製されるハニカムスキャフォールドによる細胞の接着・増殖・分化制御は再生医療における重要な課題であり、本研究を通してハニカムスキャフォールドの構造・物性と細胞に与える影響について基礎的な知見を得た。また、金ナノ粒子を高分子微粒子表面に高密度に配列したナノコンポジット微粒子について、イムノアッセイのプローブとしての物性を確認した。これらの成果は医療に応用出来る工学技術の基礎的知見を確立するという意味で非常に重要であり、医療技術における社会要請に応えるものである。また、本研究過程で渡航先であるProf. Odaを東北大学のPIとして招聘できたことは国際共同研究の大きな成果と言える。
