Research Abstract

For cancer research, we developed base-discriminating fluorescence nucleic acid systems and methylation detection systems. Particularly, we developed a conceptually new nucleic acid probe for methylcytosine-specific detection, 'ICON probe', and applied it for detection of methlcytosines. In addition, we studied on effective color imaging of methylcytosine toward methylated DNA visualization.
