Research Abstract

デバイス動作下での界面電子状態、ポテンシャル変化を光電子分光法により測定することに成功し種々の材料に適用することに成功した。(e-JOURNAL OF SURFACE SCIENCEAND NANOTECHNOLOGY, 8 (2010) 81.)この手法を金属/有機分子の界面電子状態およびポテンシャル変化に適用することを試みたが放射線のダメージが問題となった。種々の考察を行うことにより放射線のダメージが問題とならない測定手法を開発し、現在、系統的なデータがとれつつある状態である。
また、新規材料の開拓も行った。作成条件を精密に制御する事を行う事により有機超格子の作成に成功した。(図1)この超格子はp,n(両極性)で動作下が可能のみならず、電圧を制御することにより発光デバイスとして動作する事に成功した(N.Hiroshiba et al. submitted to J. Chem. Phys. C)現在、用いる有機分子の末端基の元素を変えて特性の制御を試みている。加えて、有機超格子中に電子吸引性、電子授与性の分子をドープすることにより、FETの特牲制御、発光特性の制御の足がかり的結果を得ている。有機超格子を制御良く設計を行うと有機半導体レーザーの可能性を秘めており本領域が終了した後も電圧印加光電子分光法を用いた有機超格子に関する物性制御に関する研究を行う予定である。
