Research Abstract

本研究課題は水素結合系の動的挙動の理論的解明を目的としている。その第一歩として昨年度は新しい理論的手法(振動擬縮退摂動論,瞬間振動状態解析法)を開発した。本年度は代表的な水素結合クラスターであるグアニン・シトシン塩基対に対し開発した理論を適用した。実験で観測されているブロードな水素伸縮バンドの再現に成功し,ブロードニングの起源を理論的に解明した。グアニン・シトシン(GC)塩基対は81個の振動自由度を持ち,従来の方法ではこの大きさの分子を量子的に扱うことは不可能であった。最近我々が開発した,非調和ポテンシャルを効率的に生成するMultiresolution法と振動Schrodinger方程式の高速解法である振動擬縮退摂動論はこれを可能にした。GC塩基対を始め水素結合を持つ系では,赤外吸収スペクトルのOH/NH伸縮バンドが大きなred shiftと数百cm^<-1>に渡るブロード化を伴うことがよく知られていたが,その起源はこれまで明らかではなかった。我々の非調和計算は3000cm^<-1>付近のブロードな特徴を再現し,波動関数の中身を解析することでブロードニングの機構を明らかにすることができた。時間依存の側面では~100fsの超高速振動エネルギー緩和が伴うことが示唆された。また,非調和定数と調和振動数をベースに振動モード間の非調和カップリングの強さを定性的に予測ずる指数を提案した。
