Research Abstract |
The findings for this project are summarized as following; (1) s-1,3-glucans can form heterogeneous helical complex with nucleic acids, (2) s-1,3-glucans act as one-dimensional host toward carbon nanotube, polythiophene, gold nanoparticle,,dyes, etc., (3) the guest molecules entrapped in the helix of s-1,3-glucan show chiral properties ownig to the helical structure of host, (4) modified s-1,3-glucan allows to align the functional molecules, construct micro-size transportation system.
