| Research Abstract |
The project carried out a photo shoot of Keio University Library's copies of the best Paris edition of Diderot and d' Alembert's Enyclopedie, which consists of about 16,000 pages in 17 volumes. A digital facsimile of high-resolution images is now being prepared for publication. The project has also extracted and recorded sources and references mentioned in each article of the Enyclopedie, using the digital images. With support from a number of research collaborators, the data extraction of volumes 1 to 4 and 8 has so far nearly been completed.
