Research Abstract |
In this project, we have been working mainly on three things : First, we have closely reviewed the LINDSEI(Louvain International Database of Spoken English Interlanguage) and ICLE(International Corpus of Learner English) in order to finalize both corpora. Then, using these corpora, we have done some comparative studies on various linguistic aspects among Japanese English learners, non-Japanese English learners and English native speakers. Finally, we have uploaded Web pages that university students can use for studying English based on the errors shown in ICLE Japanese sub-corpus.
