Research Abstract |
We examined cardiovascular and central nervous responses during mental tasks to explore the human adaptability to mental stresses. It was shown that blood pressure rise during mental task contributed to brain blood supply to perform a mental activity. We proposed a hypothesis that whole-body coordination of blood circulation during mental activity had contributed to development of human intellectual activity.
