Research Abstract |
We studied a new 3-D display technique that can express the difference between depths at distances of more than tens or hundreds of meters. We used artificially generated motion parallax to achieve this technique. We confirmed its feasibility from the subjective test demonstrating that it works as expected using a moving car. Moreover, we demonstrated that its optical system can be built in at practical size in the car navigation application.
