Research Abstract |
In the background of Heisei-era great merger of local governments, Japanese government has supported information infrastructure construction (ex.fiber optics, cellular phone, digital broadcasting) to rural areas, including far islands. But local governments of islands have many difficulties and there are variable gaps in information policies between them. Some had troubles in constructing wide-area fiber optic network.
