Research Abstract

We analyzed spatiotemporal patterns of multiple single-neurons' activities in the inferior temporal cortex and found that spatial activity pattern of multiple neurons encode more information than temporal activity pattern of single neurons (Kaneko et al., 2010). Furthermore, a local neuron population can encode information about a variety of visual object images (Tamure and Kaneko, submitted).
