Research Abstract |
This research aimed to analyse the characteristics of Korean Family Register inKonyang-Kwangmu period, from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20thcentury, focusing on Buddhist monks,Tohan group and regional differences. In spite ofthe idea to register people unitarily, family register of this period organized andregistered monks andTohan by the style peculiar to them reflecting the change throughthe late Chosun period.
