Research Abstract |
Merchant investment, which relies on a market mechanism to promote electricity interconnectors, turns out to be an efficient way of regulating the transmission sector in comparison to the traditional regulated investment. Priority service for interconnector usage can lead to the optimal investmentof transmission facilities along with the efficient trade of electricity across regions.
