Research Abstract |
I researched critical examinations of cross-national differences in methodological approaches and remedial practices in youth support center between Japan and the U.S. Through my ethnography Japanese center relied on self-reflexive and therapeutic approaches (ex."Mendan","Soudan") to reshape and reconstruct more positive attitudes and behaviors of at risk youth, while the American system has historically relied on educational practices to acquire necessary basic and practical social skills.
