Research Abstract

次世代ホログラム記録材料を実現するためには、高次構造制御が非常に重要であり、特に、階層構造の制御は、高度な性能の付与のために必須である。階層構造をもっと完璧に作るため、従来、受動的な相分離によるホログラフィグレイティングの創製に対して、新材料を用いることにより能動的に相分離を起こすことを目的として、有機-無機ナノハイブリッド系を用いるホログラフィによる構造制御法の確立に寄与しようとした。
いろんな含ケイ素アクリルレイト系ポリマーやダブルデッカーポリシルセスキオキサン構造を用いる新規ポリシロキシサン誘導体を設計と合成し、それによって液晶の相分離効率向上、ポリマーマトリックスの体積収縮率改善、親水性基による誘導時間の短縮など高性能のホログラムを製作した。
含ケイ素ポリマーの柔軟な結合特性、架橋度、相分離特性などの特長を生かした上で、さらに、架橋反応と同時に、ポリマーがその特性を変え、相分離を促進する系にも成功した。
シルセスキキサンの籠構造の各コーナーにあるケイ素原子に有機系置換基を導入することができる籠状オリゴシルセスキキサンをナノサイズでの三次元的の分子設計し、ユニークな有機-無機ハイブリッド型の新しいタイプの機能性材料を開発し、ホログラム記録材料として利用可能性を実現した。
高回折効率や高熱安定性を持つこれらのホログラム記録材料は3D画像ディスプレイ、ヘッドアップディスプレイ、セキュリティー、ホログラフィックメモリーなどの多く分野での応用に期待される。
