Research Abstract |
A periodic structure and a thin ferrite film were applied to power/ground layers of electronic devices, which realize efficient noise suppression due to not only electromagnetic bandgap (EBG) formed but also magnetic loss. This investigation was carried out by both experiments and full-wave simulation. Through circuit simulation of a real power-supply circuit for obtaining power-integrity characteristics, furthermore, the proposed structure was found to suppress power bounce sufficiently.
