Research Abstract |
This paper aims to improve the performance of vehicle-to-vehicle communication system by cross-layer design of MAC layer and physical layer. In particular, I extend the former studies of the following. Periodical token based protocols to improve the throughput at the situation where a vehicle may have difficulty to recognize the situation around his vehicle. CDMA packet based communication system is essential in vehicle-to-vehicle communication As results, I found the following through this study. CDMA ALOHA is much preferable than OFDM with CSMA. Turbo equalizer is effective to reduce interference appeared in vehicle-to-vehicle communication. BFDM/OQAM, that can employ Gaussian pulse, shows satisfactory performance that OFDM in highly mobile environment. So far, I have published the results obtained by this study to conferences and journal papers.
