Research Abstract |
Many base-isolated high-rise apartment buildings have been built in Japan after the Hyogoken-nanbu earthquake of 1995. In this research project, the earthquake response properties were studied with respect to uplift of isolators under base-isolated high-rise buildings of large aspect ratio subject to simultaneous action of two horizontal and one vertical strong ground motion.
