Research Abstract |
Modern reinforced concrete architecture is a more recent trend, however, so cultural restoration techniques pertaining to these buildings haven't been consolidated yet. Modern reinforced concrete architecture is deteriorating but guidelines for culturally appropriate restoration are lacking. When modern reinforced concrete architecture is restored, new and old materials must be carefully considered. Reinforcement has to be distinguished and designed for architecture. If not, the authenticity of modern reinforced concrete architecture is threatened.
