Research Abstract |
The planarians have high regeneration activity which is attractive for developmental biologists. In order to analyze the mechanisms of the planarian regeneration at a gene level, I tried to develop a method for production of transgenic planarians using various transposon systems. I have failed to introduce foreign genes into planarians in spite of many trials with various vectors and experimental conditions.
