Research Abstract |
Ni-catalyzed Mizoroki-Heck-type reaction with alkyne-tethered allyl alcohols which included selective β-elimination of a C-OH bond was accomplished. The β-OH elimination proceeded in preference to β-H elimination for a (σ-alkyl) nickel intermediate which has both H and OH on the same β-carbon to the Ni center.
