Research Abstract |
So far I clarified overexpression of SGE1 in yeast confers resistance to benzalkonium chloride and chlorhexidine. Effect of overexpression or deletion of AZR1, VBA3 and VBA5 to antiseptic sensitivity in yeast was examined. Overexpression of these genes did not confer resistance to benzalkonium chloride nor chlorhexidine in yeast. Deletion of SGE1, AZR1, VBA3 and VBA5 did not affect sensitivity to benzalkonium chloride nor chlorhexidine. Yeast deletion mutants showing resistance or sensitive to benzalkkonium chloride were screened to obtain numerous candidates.
