Research Abstract |
We have demonstrated that uncoupling of inducible nitric oxide synthase(iNOS) plays a pivotal role in cardiac dysfunction in the diabetic hearts and inhibition of iNOS uncoupling alleviate cardiac function and unmasks tolerance to ischemia/reperfusion injury in these hearts.
