Research Abstract |
Excessive hepatectomy close to the hepatic reserve function has a risk to induce postoperative liver failure. The mechanisms inducing hyperbiliruninemia with respect to anion transporters were examined in rats after 90% hepatectomy and found that excreting transporter expression (Bsep, Mrp3) but not the uptake transporters (NTCP, OATP) showed a significant difference compared to 70% hepatectomy. Moreover, Biomarkers (Glypican-3, HAI-1) influencing prognosis were established in hepatocellular carcinoma.
