Research Abstract |
Renal tubular cell injury, especially mitochondrial damage, and oxidative stress induce the early stage of calcium oxalate crystal formation in mice. We investigated the effects of impaired domains of OPN, the RGD sequence and two calcium-binding sites on crystal formation. Each domain contributes to the mechanism by which OPN stimulates crystal formation.
