Research Abstract |
IFN (interferon)-εhas recently found as a female reproductive-specific Type I IFN. From a point of view including sexually transmitted disease, it is important to understand local immune response in female-reproductive organs such as uterus and ovary ; however, it is incompletely understood. We elucidated a part of the mechanism of IFN-εgene expression. This result is expected to understand the local immune response in the female reproductive tissue.
