Research Abstract

The deleterious effects of mifepristone, a glucocorticoid receptor antagonist, on acoustic injury were reported. This finding suggests that glucocorticoids exhibited the protective effects agains acoustic injury via a glucocorticoid-receptor-dependent pathway. GM1 ganglioside showed the protective effects against acoustic injury as an antioxidant agent.
