Research Abstract |
In this study, we performed function-, methylation- and expression-based screening in oral cancer cell lines, and identified two novel tumor-suppressive microRNAs, miR-218 and miR-585, silenced by DNA hypermethylation in oral cancer. Moreover, we found that Rictor is a novel target of miR-218, suggesting that miR-218 targeting Rictor may provide a novel strategy for the treatment of oral cancer.
