Research Abstract	To elucidate the expressions of MMP-8, MMP-13,TIMP1 and TIMP2 in experimentally induced rat periradicular lesions by means of the reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and immunohistochemical staining. These findings indicate that MMP-8, MMP-13,TIMP1 and TIMP2 were related to the development of periradicular lesions.
