Research Abstract

Lactoferrin is an iron-binding protein and has been demonstrated in milk, and has been reported to have a variety of biological functions. Lactoferiin injected intraperitoneally(ip) has exhibited the inhibitory effect on mouse cytomegarovirus ip infection in mice. In the present study, lactoferrin by oral administration exhibited inhibitory effect on oral infection with mouse cytomegalovirus.
