Research Abstract |
During colorectal cancer progression, the interaction between cancer cells and stromal macrophages plays a crucial role. In this study, we demonstrated that interferon-gamma, which was regulated Trem2 or Cox-2, altered the activation status of tumor associated macrophages. Classically activated macrophages have a potential to inhibit cancer progression. We propose a novel therapeutic strategy against colorectal cancer by using activated macrophages.
