Research Abstract |
The low-energy neutron is a valuable probe in research in materials and life science owing to its unique characteristics : it penetrates deeply into a material, it picks up information on light elements, isotopic atoms and magnetic moments. In order to increase the utilization efficiency of neutrons, a multiple magnet to focus a polychromatic neutron beam was developed and its application to the J-PARC was considered.
