Research Abstract

平成22年度は、国外では国際社会学会の世界会議で日本部会を組織し、そこで日本社会学史について報告し、また南京大学や復旦大学では社会学理論や実践に関する報告を行い、さらに国内では日本社会学理論学会で社会理論に関する報告、多文化関係学会でアジアの外国人労働者問題の報告を行った。それ他、国内では、日中社会学会関係で複数回のコーディネートやチェアを担当した。
さらに国内での国際研究集会としては、北大スラブ研究所の国際集会に討論者として参加し、また名大では2日間にわたる東アジアの社会環境に関する国際集会のコーディネート・チェア、報告を行った。なおグローバル社会理論研究会では、3回にわたり毎回1名の外国人研究者を招聘し討論会を開いた。本研究を進めるために、台湾大学にも赴き研究打ち合わせを行ったことも付け加えておく。
本研究は、東アジアの社会学理論ネットワークを創造し展開する可能性に関する3年間の基礎研究であるが、研究開始年の最初の月に、香港大学で「批判的アジア研究フォーラム」を結成し3年間活動した(この成果は平成23年度中に著作となる予定)。だが、様々な問題点も見えてきたので、研究最終年(3年目)の最終月にこのフォーラムを発展的に解消し、「社会理論と実践のためのアジアフォーラム」(Asian Forum for Social Theory and Practice)を新たに展開することを決めた。
本研究への補助によって筆者が構想する東アジアの社会学理論研究者の結集にむけた活動が進捗し、本研究のテーマであったフォーラムの創造と展開の「可能性」に関しては、大いに可能性ありという結論になる。ただし、社会学自体が未発達なアジアの国もあり、その意味では、政治学者や人類学者を含む「社会理論」研究者という形に間口を広げ、さらに社会実践家も巻き込んで展開する可能性と必要性がある点を最後に確認しておきたい。
