| Research Abstract |
Surveys on documents relating to religious historical events in Medieval Nanto (Nara) were conducted in several temples and libraries. The establishment of a paradigm with the name "history of religious discourses" was pursued during the organization and utilization of the survey data. This task is necessary to treat subjects without being bound by the modernistic academic disciplines classified as literature, history, religious study, etc. Though the task has not been fully accomplished yet, it is believed that directions have been shown to some extent after these three years.
