Research Abstract

両手運動における左右運動システムの相互作用を機能的磁気共鳴法を用いて調べた。非鏡像運動と鏡像運動の二つの運動モードの運動開始に関わる神経基盤、運動継続に関わる神経基盤ついて、左右それぞれの片手運動の脳活動の和と比較した。その結果、非鏡像運動で鏡像運動よりも高い脳活動を示すいくつかの脳部位について、従来考えられていたように非鏡像運動で神経コストが増加する脳部位だけでなく、鏡像運動で神経コストが減少する脳部位があることが明らかとなった。
