Research Abstract |
To estimate the role of AMP-activated protein kinase and nitric oxide synthase on skeletal muscle SIRT1 protein expression, we treated AMP-activated protein kinase activator or nitric oxide synthase inhibitor to rats. The results might suggest that the both of AMP-activated protein kinase and nitric oxide synthase positively regulate the SIRT1 expression in skeletal muscle.
