Research Abstract |
We investigated production of several exogenous secondary metabolites in genome-minimized S.avermitilis SUKA. The results revealed that the microorganism has high-level productivity for aminoglycoside, polyketide, peptide and erpene compounds over that of native-producing microorganisms. It suggested that SUKA could be a useful heterologous host for a production of secondary metabolite with a little production.
