Research Abstract |
Tasks, if designed to meet learners' needs, should provide optimalconditions for the particular language learning environment. Students in a Japanesetechnical college were asked to answer a questionnaire concerning their reasons forstudying English, what skills or knowledge they needed to improve, and what content andactivities they wanted to work on in the class. Based on these results, the relevant taskswere designed and proposed.
